Order of Operations
When founders start a new business, they often panic-buy marketing. They spin up a Facebook Ads account, hire someone to post on TikTok, write three blog posts, and wonder why nothing works.
Digital marketing is sequential. If you run paid ads before your website can convert, you burn cash. If you start an SEO campaign before defining your target audience, you waste time.
The Foundational Sequence
Phase 1: The Infrastructure (Days 1-30)
- Define your exact target persona and Maximum Allowable CAC.
- Build a fast, technically sound, mobile-responsive website.
- Write clear, unambiguous commercial service/product pages.
- Set up rigorous tracking (GA4, GTM, CRM integration).
Phase 2: The Validation (Days 31-90)
- Launch highly targeted Google Ads or LinkedIn Ads to capture existing demand.
- Use the paid data to validate which messaging and keywords actually convert.
- Optimize the landing pages to remove conversion friction.
Phase 3: The Organic Engine (Days 90+)
- Use the validated keywords from Phase 2 to dictate your SEO content strategy.
- Begin aggressive Digital PR and link acquisition to build domain authority.
- Build automated email nurture sequences for leads who aren't ready to buy immediately.
The next step: Do not skip Phase 1. If you launch campaigns without tracking or a high-converting landing page, you are gambling, not marketing.
